2020/2021 wedding booking assistance + COVID-19 impact

The impact of the novel coronavirus has left so many couples and families to make difficult decisions. Should we postpone? Should we cancel? Should I even be planning a wedding right now?

I have been fortunate to work with so many amazing couples so closely. It’s a substantial and unique gift as a wedding photographer to be a part of all of those little moments - from happiness to butterflies to tears! But the reality is that sometimes those tears are because of sadness or anxiety.

It’s broken my heart to see so many of my spring 2020 couples grappling with these big questions and decisions on a day that should be nothing but joyful (where hopefully the biggest issue is something like the napkin colors are wrong, you know?). But I’m also privileged to walk through this time with them - no matter how difficult it may be. If I can offer some semblance of hope and we can make this OK , then I can sleep a little easier at night. We have been navigating game plans and postponements, while standing determined on having the most wonderful celebration - no matter where or when or how it may be!

All of this to say that I hope you’re still planning your future. I hope you’re still excited for your wedding, dreaming big, and remaining as optimistic as you can during this uncertain time, because I sure am excited for you! If you’re frustrated or sad sometimes, that’s OK too - it’s a heavy time right now. But no matter what your wedding looks like: whether it’s in a big church, at the beach, or your friend’s backyard - I’m here for you and we will capture it magically.

All of that to say: I view my role as one where I’m gifted with the opportunity to both create, innovate, and serve. Serve! This has lead me to think over and over, “How can I help? and “What can I do?”

As a small effort to alleviate financial burdens and offer help during this time, non-refundable retainers are reduced through May 15th, 2020.

  • What does this mean?

A retainer is normally $500 to secure a date (included in the total cost of a wedding photography package). Through May 15th, 2020, the cost will lowered to $300.

The remaining $200 will be included in final payment that is due 2 weeks prior to the wedding date.

  • What if I need to change my date after the non-refundable retainer is due?

Typically a retainer is to hold your wedding date; therefore, changing the date would require a new retainer. However, because we live in unprecedented times I want to do everything I can to help my clients. In the event the wedding date must be changed due to coronavirus impact, non-refundable retainers can be transferred to a new and agreed upon date at a later time for no extra charge. (#postponedontcancel!)

I wholeheartedly believe you still deserve to celebrate. I’m optimistic for the future and excited for the day when we can work together again!

As always, please let me know how can I can help you, and know that I will do everything I can for you. Your wedding day WILL be one of rejoicing and celebration!

We will get through this together. Stay well!
