Sarah + Richard: An Evans, Georgia socially distanced wedding

After a spring full of postponements and cancellations due to the novel coronavirus, I was SO happy to photograph a wedding again! Sarah and Richard’s wedding was scheduled for March, right when social distancing was mandated and large gatherings were banned. Sadly, they had to make the difficult decision to postpone their wedding for June, but they sure did make the BEST out of an unexpected situation. Many of their plans changed - including the venue and guest count - but they kept their priorities in the right place.

They offered masks to guests and social distanced the ceremony and reception. It was a perfect balance of having loved ones there while prioritizing their safety. It turned out to be such a sunny, joyful, amazing day that we all nearly forgot about the trials we had been in the midst of.

I’m so inspired by this wedding, but more-so by Sarah and Richard and their incredibly hopeful and positive attitudes. Pandemic or no pandemic, marrying the love of your life is all that matters - whether it’s a big wedding, a small wedding, a courthouse wedding, or, heck, in the parking lot of a 7-11! ;)

Enjoy this glimpse into their wedding day!
