The holiday season was wonderful and jam packed with beautiful weddings, tour work, and lots and lots of family time. As such, I've fallen quite behind in my blogging, but have a few weddings deserving of posts - hopefully better late than never, right?
Jamie and Will's Thanksgiving weekend wedding seems like a good place to kick things off. Working alongside these two through their wedding journey the past year quickly took them from clients to friends, and that makes me feel pretty stinking lucky. From coffee and cake dates, to urban engagements sessions, and romantic bridals; I had so much fun sharing in each step along the way, and their wedding was the perfect celebration to cap off the year. They married at Sacred Heart Cultural Center; a landmark cathedral that stands boastfully in downtown Augusta, and "exquisite" doesn't quite do the structure justice.. With J +W's deeply connected roots to community, art, and culture, this was just the place to say their vows and celebrate their relationship.
Thanksgiving is a time of thanks (obviously!), and while the holiday season is no longer upon us, their day continues to overflow my heart with gratitude. Love abounded that day, and it was evident the impact they have had on their family and friends - I'm pretty sure there wasn't a dry eye in the house during toasts (including mine). These two are especially loved and appreciated, but what's most special is all the loved and appreciation back to those around them - from their guests, to their family, to their vendors (me!). They show no hesitation in extending graciousness and kindness, and I'm so glad to be surrounded by people like that. I love when I leave a wedding feeling better than when I got there; and I think that's the mark these two leave on those they encounter. I'm grateful for their business, but I'm more grateful my business led me to knowing them.
Thanks for letting me be a part of such a wonderful day! Here's to the Jacksons!
