6.19.16: Ashley and Bryant's June Wedding

He’s an actor, she’s a dancer. Together, I’m pretty sure this talented duo could conquer the world and steal hearts while doing it. After all, they’ve already stolen mine AND their friends' and families (warning: I'm corny).

I first met Ashley and Bryant through Ashley’s amazing brother and sister-in-law, Matthew and Tia. I was honored to shoot Matt and Tia's wedding this past January, and when Ashley asked me to shoot hers shortly after, I was beyond thrilled. I knew A + B would be a blast to work with, and I had already gotten to know and fallen in love with their families. Perfect match!

My first chance to spend time with A + B was during their Atlanta engagement session, and it was nothing short of special. You can read about their session here, but one thing I will quickly note is that I loved how each location during the shoot was purposeful, and their wedding was certainly no different. Every detail of A + B’s wedding lent itself to a moment of personalization, making each aspect of the wedding feel sincere and special.

The wedding took place at The Engine Room in Monroe, Georgia; an industrial event space with a vintage flair that functioned as the most beautiful canvas for A + B’s wedding details. From the decor (Ashley’s mother’s wedding dress on display), to the centerpieces (old family photos flanked by florals), to the music, every element seeped intentionality. A particularly memorable moment for me was when the pianist played Les Miserable’s One Day More during the postlude. Bryant and his groomsmen are professional actors who have starred in Les Mes, and as we were all gathered in the back of the ceremony space waiting to take family photos, they spontaneously broke into singing along with the music - harmonies and all! They were so spot-on, I almost felt guilty to see them perform for free…almost.

I can only imagine that the happiness I felt sharing in A + B’s day was a fraction of the joy they were experiencing. Neither one of them seemed nervous or anxious, and I’m pretty sure as Ashley was escorted down the aisle by her sweet dad, they could have melted into happy puddles. These two radiate the purest love for the Lord, for each other, and for their families, and I feel blessed to get to experience a piece of that when I serve as a wedding photographer.

Ashley and Bryant, I wish you two a life of happiness and love, and I can’t wait to see all that you both will accomplish together!

xx, Anna
