In honor of launching my new website and redefined brand, I decided to kick things off with a series of blogs that capture some of the weddings from this past fall. Fall is my favorite season, so perhaps it's this mild February weather that has me feeling nostalgic. Whatever the case, I absolutely loved these burst of weddings from October and November and felt they deserved some "blog time."
I'm so excited to share Niki and Jeremiah's beautiful Savannah wedding from October 10th, 2015.
I met Niki and Jeremiah early last year, and I knew immediately they were going to be a fun couple to work with. First of all, I was thrilled that they were having their wedding in Savannah, one of my favorite destinations within driving distance. But more so than that, I enjoyed getting to connect with them over coffee, learning about their work and interests, discussing wedding plans, and their hopes for cultivating a fun wedding environment for their guests. If you know even a smidgen about weddings, you know that they can be unpredictable. Niki and Jeremiah planned for the ceremony to be held outdoors at Pulaski Square, but the chance of rain didn't prove favorable. They moved the ceremony indoors to the same location as the reception, Knights of Columbus (which is beautiful, by the way), and the ceremony went off without a hitch. This gracious and sweet couple had their priorities in check and kept their focus on beginning their new life together.
As a photographer, I love when I can build a connection with the bride and groom, and it feels like an undeserved bonus blessing when I find an equally-as-great wedding party. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were so kind and sweet to work with, and they helped make this wedding even more of a blast. Seriously, the dancing at this wedding was (no joke) some of the best I've witnessed during my time as a wedding photographer. No one wanted the party to end (including me)!
Thank you, ,Niki and Jeremiah for allowing me to share in your special day. You two exude kindness and goodness, and I can't wait to see all the wonderful things in store for both of you!
I hope you enjoy these October memories,
